Kayou Naruto Cards Australia Guide - Earth Scroll, Jin Chapter and Ninja Age
Share
KAYOU's Naruto range is officially licensed and covers characters and moments from both the original Naruto series and Naruto Shippuden. These are collectible cards designed to be opened and displayed, not a trading card game. The appeal is the artwork, the rarity chase and pulling ultra-rare versions of iconic characters.
Quick answer: where should I start?
- Easy, low cost entry point to begin your collection: Earth Scroll series
- Premium chase cards and deeper rarity pulls: Jin chapter series
- Top end premium chase cards with possibility of serialised pulls: Ninja Age premium collector box
The three KAYOU Naruto lines
All current English KAYOU Naruto product belongs to one of two families: Earth Scroll and Jin Chapter. They share the same official licence but are built for different collectors.
Earth Scroll (Silver and Gold series) - the accessible line
Earth Scroll is KAYOU's entry level English Naruto line which comes in 2 formats. The Silver series (South East Asia edition) has 30 packs of 5 cards while the gold series (US edition) holds 20 packs of 8 cards. It is designed to be a lower price, lower commitment way to experience sealed KAYOU product without diving into the deepest rarity tiers first. Two English series are available with series 3 (Gold) coming soon.
Best for: beginners, Naruto fans trying the hobby for the first time or anyone who wants a lower risk entry point.
Jin Chapter (Platinum series) - the premium line
Jin Chapter is KAYOU's premium English Naruto line. Fewer packs per box (10 vs 30) but goes a tier above Earth Scroll on print quality, foiling and rarity depth. Three English series - Series 1, 2 and 3 are available with series 4 coming soon.
Best for: committed collectors, collectors who prefer higher chances at chase cards over quantity.
Naruto Ninja Age (Premium Collector Box)
Ninja Age sits above both. It's a premium collector box in the English US edition, built around KAYOU's premium card treatments. It's the box which can contain individually numbered serialised chase cards. Other KAYOU sets include serialised cards, but Ninja Age has the best of them. If Smriti is about volume and JIN Chapter is about odds, Ninja Age is about owning the pinnacle of KAYOU Naruto collectable cards.
| Format | Packs per Box | Rarity Concentration | Best For |

| JIN Chapter Platinum | 10 packs | High | Serious collectors, premium pulls, display pieces |

How the KAYOU Naruto rarity system works
The current English (SEA) edition uses 10 rarity levels, from common to premium:
| Tier group | Rarity codes | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Common to uncommon | R, SR, SSR | The base backbone of any set |
| Higher-rarity hits | UR, MR | Stronger foiling, more collector demand |
| Premium chase | SP, SE, BP, PU, PTR | What most serious collectors are actively hunting |
Not every tier appears in every product - the mix differs between Earth Scroll and Jin Chapter, and between series within each line.
The rarity system was updated in newer sets, adding tiers like PU and PTR on top of the original ladder. The English (SEA) print uses the current structure.
Every Naruto booster box compared
The same series can come in more than one box depending on the region it was made for. SEA boxes are made for South East Asia and NA boxes for North America. Here's how each one is put together:
| Box | What's inside | Rarity tiers | Typical pulls per box |
|---|---|---|---|
| JIN Chapter Series 1 (SEA) | 10 packs of 5 cards | 10 tiers: R, SR, SSR, PTR, UR, PU, MR, BP, SP, SE. 158 card types. | A PTR and at least one SR in every pack |
| JIN Chapter Series 2 (SEA) | 10 packs of 5 cards | 11 tiers: everything in Series 1 plus AR. 168 card types. | A PTR and at least one SR in every pack |
| Earth Scroll Series 1 (NA or SEA) | NA: 20 packs of 8 cards. SEA: 30 packs of 5 cards. Both pull from the same 131-card set. | 8 tiers: R, SR, SSR, UR, AR, MR, SP, CR. | NA: 4 of the 20 packs hold 2 SSRs and a UR, the other 16 hold 3 SRs each. SEA: an SR in every pack, with SSRs in about 9 packs and URs in about 4. |
| Earth Scroll Series 2 (SEA) | 30 packs of 4 cards | 8 tiers: R, SR, SSR, UR, AR, MR, ◇UR (Diamond UR), CR. 132 card types. | An SR in every pack, with SSRs in about 9 of the 30 |
| Earth Scroll Series 2 (NA) | 20 packs of 7 cards | The same 8 tiers and 132 card types as the SEA box. | Every pack: 3 Rs, 2 SRs and an SSR |
Keep in mind that KAYOU works out these ratios across its whole print run, not box by box. Your box might land a little above or below them and doubles are part of the fun. The top tiers (SE, SP, CR and the like) aren't guaranteed in any of these boxes, so every one of those is a genuine pull.
